A bunch of us used to run it in our v8 motors about 20 years ago, when racing gas was hard to get in central cal. A racing engine builder here in Fresno brewed it using five parts 95 octane premium one part toluene and about 10cc acetone (mixing agent) with a little bit of castor oil/marvel mystery oil/oil of wintergreen. He claims it made about 108 octane. There was no difference in performance switching to "real" racing gas. I musta made 500 runs using this strange brew with no adverse affects.
