A while back their was a protacted discussion here about tachs that don't work with a CDI. George Brown and the others who had problems-- Mine is fixed, Ya-Freakin-Hee! Matt posted that to get his to work he just tapped into the pertronix-to-CDI connection. How simple! That signal is directly related to RPMs. Put a "T" connector between pertronix black wire and CDI green, played with the dip switches for 2 minutes and voila! Verified with a spreadsheet comparing rpm to mph a couple months ago,(taking into account smaller tires, of course) and the numbers matched EXACTLY what the tach was showing. fyi, anyone with same VDO transistorized 3.125" Cockpit tach, the dips are Up, Up, Down. Thanks again Matt, you saved me much grief. Now I can start working on my jetting again. JC, one less return ;-) Don Jiskra
