Does anyone know if you can run a 16x8" Porsche Alloy on the rear of an early bug without any body or chassis mods? I am looking

for (2) 16x7" Phone dials with a 23.3mm offset and found out they were only used on the front of a 1986, 944 Turbo. I can find all the

16x8"'s I could recycle for a year, just no 7's. If anyone can help me with the fit question or the wheel search, it would be very much

appreciated.

Thanks,

Elf

Re: Elf, I`ve seen 15x8 fuchs on a short axel beetle. they fit but you can`t go big on the tires. (n/t) (Mark h) (24-Jun-2000 14:27:17)

Re: I run 15x8 w 215-60-15's short swing if that helps...plenty of room. (n/t) (tw) (24-Jun-2000 18:04:07)

I had 16" x 8" C2 alloys with 225/50 tires on the back...required grinding in the inner wheel well and a 1/4" spacer to get the tire off the springplate. (n/t) (Derrick from NC)
